HOLLYWOOD, CA – With the unexpected windfall enjoyed by Mel Gibson’s self-produced and directed “The Passion of the Christ,” Creative Talent Agency, the media firm representing Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, has indicated in interviews with E! that He is considering this the time to return and is in talks with NBC.

I don’t like to put words in His mouth,” explained Derek Robbins of CTA, “but I think Jesus is looking around and thinking, ‘I’m hot now – and I’ve finally got the per-screen revenues to show it.’ He’s bigger, maybe, finally, than the Beatles.”

According to E!, reps from CTA have recommended Yahweh, p/k/a Jesus, also known as I Am, consider a guest star appearance on an upcoming episode of Friends’ spin-off show, “Joey,” for maximum exposure. Sweeps Week is an obvious choice.

Derek explained, “I think He could play an Italian – maybe one of Joey’s cousins. Or maybe even just be the Savior, which He’s ace at. The Tribbiana family is Catholic, after all – it would be a reasonable plot tie.”

Unnamed TV executives say they are willing and even eager to sign the Creator to a single performance contract, but would like to see the evening’s Nielsens before commiting to further episodes.

“We’re not saying we don’t love Jesus, we do. Hear that, J? But, Matt LeBlanc plays a wild, womanizing character; would Jesus and all the morality that comes with Him, really fit in?

“Maybe Jesus could just show up occasionally, on Joey’s shoulder, when Joey’s in a fix. Off the top of my head, we could get Christopher Walken to do the devil side.”

CTA’s Robbins indicates prime-time television is not the only venue they have Joshua slated for. “We’re looking at an energizing power drink product to endorse – like Red Bull. Call it ‘Golden Calf’ or something – this idea is still in development.”

When asked to comment, Jesus simply responded, “Yea, verily.
